From autumn 2021 THE LUME will be open daily from 10am until late. Sessions are scheduled to provide everyone with a safe, contactless experience to explore a vibrant symphony of light, colour, sound, aroma and taste.

THE LUME is conveniently located at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf on the banks of the Yarra River. The main entrance is located at 1 Convention Centre Place, adjacent to the Novotel hotel and DFO with Taxi and Ride Share drop off ranks located outside our front entrance.

Trams 12, 96 and 109 run every 6-12 minutes and stop outside MCEC on Clarendon Street. Trams 70, 35 and 75 run along Flinders Street stopping on the north side of the Yarra River near the pedestrian bridge to MCEC.

Southern Cross Station on Spencer Street is just a short stroll from the venue, with trains running every 15-20 minutes. Visit the MCEC website to find your best route to THE LUME.

Various bike parking facilities are available at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. There are bike hoops located along Convention Centre Place outside Wilson Parking South Wharf and another on Orrs Walk, opposite Polly Woodside.

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre has a car park located within the Exhibition Centre.

THE LUME is committed to being accessible to all at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. There are accessible toilets, ramps and lifts throughout the venue, including lift access from the car parks.

For the inaugural Van Gogh experience, guests will be offered an array of dining options inspired by the cuisines of France & The Netherlands to enjoy seated inside the experience at the café/bar. Upon exit of the gallery, guests will have the opportunity to purchase premium Van Gogh merchandise exclusive to THE LUME and Australian-made local designer items at the gift shop. Merchandise will include programs, books, art, apparel, homewares and accessories.
